Gail has been a Tournament Director for many Open and Veterans tournaments in Queensland. She is respected by players from other States because of her involvement in Queensland Vets Titles and the Australian Tennis Vets Championships.

In January, 2004 she was Tournament Director for ITF Australian Tennis Vets Championships held on Gold Coast with players participating from all Australian States - 808 in Teams Event & 520 in Individual Event. This involved co-ordinating matches at 14 different Centres from Tweed Heads to Runaway Bay. Other tasks included making sure there was catering at all Centres, transport to Centres, arranging practice courts prior to the tournament and daily recording of scores.

She has been a successful Tournament Director of Queensland Vets Tennis Championships from 1996 to 2004 and has been instrumental in increasing participation at this tournament. Her knowledge of the players and also her expertise in using the CAT programme for tournaments is undoubtedly the reason she is regarded as a very efficient Tournament Director.

Gail has travelled overseas many times with husband, Max, who has represented Australia at World Veterans events for many years. She has gained more knowledge of tournament administration on these trips and this has proved to be of great value to Tennis Veterans Queensland.

It is very fitting that Gail should have received this award from Tennis Queensland for her tireless efforts as an administrator and promoter of tennis in Queensland.
