   Social Co-ordinator position

Position becoming vacant at the next AGM in August. The person must have good organizational skills, be able to run the lunch bar for tournaments and other events held at the club. Organize social functions such as film nights and quiz nights essential, fund raising is a big part of this job and good communication skills are also essential.  If you are interested in this position ring Sue Hand who is the current Social Co-ordinator for more information

It is with much sadness I report the death of a much love member of our tennis family Lorna Harmer, she died suddenly while relaxing at their shack at Black Point on the 22nd January 2018. To read a tribute to Lorna Click here


Vale John Mehaffey 1924-2017

John Mehaffey died in his sleep peacefully on 10 December 2017 in New Zealand.  He was aged 93.

Many younger Tennis Seniors SA members would legitimately ask “Who is John Mehaffey? What did he do to earn the renowned acknowledgement and recognition that Tennis Seniors SA gives now?” More






City vs Northern Areas
7th Mch)

Seemingly charged up by their international tourist attraction – the world’s biggest battery – the Northern Areas team played consistently strong tennis throughout the day to dominate over the City team in both the Men’s and Ladies’ Doubles as well as the Mixed Doubles section.




Gold Coast January 2018

The Gold Coast Teams week has been played with SA fielding 5 mens teams and 1 womens teams, we picked up 2 silvers in the mens and 1 silver in a mixed SA & NSW womens team. The 50+ mens lost by 2 games and the mens 45+ lost by half a point. Everyone that went had a lot of fun but the womens division was not even or fair when there was was world players playing people rank 8 or 9 with no hope of competiting against them.
