2009 Tennis Seniors Queensland Senior of the Year

Clarice has been a staunch supporter of tennis for most of her llife. Her involvement with Callide Valley T.A. Inc sees over 40 years of achievements for which she was awarded Life Membership. Clarice is a former Club Singles champion, was an excellent Treasurer and has been on the main Committee, Tournament Committee, Junior & Junior Tournament Committee for most of these years.

Clarice is still playing ladies fixtures and encouraging all the new members and inviting those eligible to join Seniors tennis. For 21 years, Clarice has been a Dawson Callide Valley Seniors member - 10 years of this time she has been Secretary.

Thanks to Clarice, the annual tournament is always well supported by visiting players who enjoy the smooth running of events. Every year we have an average of over 90 players. At this year’s tournament over 60 players nominated “partner required” and all were placed in events.

Clarice co-ordinates our Inter-Town matches with Rockhampton and Bundaberg. She has also compiled a book “History of Vets” within the Club.

Clarice always strives to provide great tennis for all standards and is more than worthy of the 2009 Tennis Senior of the Year Award.
