Yvonne Kerr of the Gold coast sadly passed away on 13 September 2006 after a valiant struggle against cancer.  She kept a positive attitude right to the end. Yvonne competed in Australian Championships for 11 years and was a well-respected player by her peers. She had many talents - one of which was organizing many charity-related functions on the Gold Coast.  As a physical education teacher, she was instrumental in introducing sports, including tennis to country areas of Queensland. Her craftwork was also a great passion and samples of her work adorned her home. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
