Queensland Teams for the Australian Teams
Carnival in Canberra

Twelve teams will be representing
Queensland in Canberra next January. The
selectors have just released the make up
of those teams, wishing all concerned
the best of luck and good tennis. There
is that little extra pressure on our
representatives as Queensland are the
defending champions from 2014 in Hobart.
Join Warren Arnell on an 11 day trip to
Norfolk Island to play in the 2015
Veteran's Tennis Tournament. The
tournament wil be played 18th - 25th
April, 2015.
The Toowoomba & Dsitrict Veterans 49th
Annual Tennis Tournament will be held in
Toowoomba from 4-6th October, 2014.
Closig date for entries is 28th
September.

To nominate for a Queensland Team to
compete at the Australian Seniors Teams
Carnival in Canberra in January 2015,
you will need to download the nomination
form and send the completed copy to TSQ
Secretary Coral Vickers by October 15.
The 2014 Murgon & District Tennis
Association will be conducting their
annual Seniors tournament over the 23-24
August at the courts in Gore Street,
Murgon. Closing date for the
tournament is 15 August.
For those players who are a little
confused or simply can't remember how to
enter a tournment that requires an IPIN,
Gail Bates has kindly put together a
series of helpful advice.
The 2014 TSQ Sunshine Coast
Championships will be held 19-22
September at Tewantin Tennis Club (&
neighbouring centres). Entries close 3rd
September, 2014.
Accommodation Options for TSA Championships
in Canberra in 2015

Players considering participating in
2015 Australian Teams Carnival from 5th
to 9th January and Individual
Championships from 11th to 16th January
in Canberra may be interested these
accommodation options.
The 2014 TSQ
Claycourt Championships will
be held 8-11 August at George Alder
Tennis Centre, Ipswich. Entries
are now open and close on 23rd July 2014.
The 2014 35th
Annual Bundaberg Seniors Tournament will
be held 7-9 June at Drinan Park and
other venues in Bundaberg. Entries
are now open and close on 30th May 2014.
At the recent Nambour Seniors
Tournament, David Evans (TSQ
Vice-President) was awarded the Jim Adam
Memorial Trophy “Player of the
Tournament”. The trophy is awarded to
the person with the highest average
points over three events for the
week-end.
The 2014 Pinnacle Insurance Services
Mooloolaba Seniors Tournament
will be held from 16-18 May, 2014 at
Mooloolaba. Entries are now open and
will close 2 May.
The TSQ State Championships
will be held from 4-7 July, 2014 at
the Miami Seniors Tennis centre, Mermaid
Beach. Entries are now open and
will close 18 June.
The Palmer Coolum Resort Seniors Tournament
will be held from 13-15 June, 2014 at
the Palmer Coolum Resort. Entries are now open and
will close 6 June.
The Gold Coast Seniors Tournament
will be held from 3-5 May, 2014 at
its Mermaid Waters
courts and surrounding centres. Entries are now open and
will close 23 April.
The Sunshine Coast Veterans Tournament
will be held from 11-13 April, 2014 at
Nambour, Palmwoods, Yandina and Woombye
courts. Entries are now open and
will close 4 April.
Queensland win the Australian Teams Trophy
in Hobart

A fantastic week of tennis, comradery,
perfect weather, stunning scenery and
friendly hosts was topped off by our
Queensland representatives brining back
the silverware. For the first time since
2008, Queensland have won the
prestigious Teams Trophy at the
Australian Teams Carnival in Hobart.
Congratulations to all of those who
participated.
