“We bid farewell to Kerry
Cullinan, a true gentleman and
mate who went to be with the
Lord on the 11/11/18. Kerry
loved his family and friends
and was always ready to
support his mates, his club
and his State when needed. He
will be remembered for his

friendly nature with great
fondness. Rest In Peace “

Photos from the Australian Teams
Carnival
posted January 19, 2018
At the recent Australian
Teams Carnival there were a
few people wandering around
taking advantage of photo
opportunities to be used to
help promote Seniors Tennis
as well as to remind the
participants what a
wonderful time they all had.
Many of those photos have
featured on our Facebook
page as well as on screen at
the Presentation dinner.
See the link below for the
images...
At the Championships Dinner
on Friday evening, the
Tennis Seniors Queensland
team, with an overall of 61%
of sets won, was announced
the winner of the 2018
Australian Teams Carnival.
TSQ President Gail Bates
accepted the award on behalf
of the players and invited
everyone to start planning
for the 2019 Championships
to be held in Shepparton,
Victoria.
At the TSQ State Dinner on
January 9, President Gail
Bates announced that Vicki
Perlic had deservedly won
the award for TSQ Senior of
the Year for 2017. For those
of you that might not have
met Vicki, she is both a
tennis tragic and a devoted
member of Tennis Seniors.
Vicki had taken upon herself
to not only attend as many
Queensland Seniors
Tournaments as she possibly
can but also decided to
share her experience by
taking photos of fellow
players at the events and
posting them on the TSQ
Facebook page. It has been a
very popular move with
members and has certainly
helped promote Tennis
Seniors and the enjoyment
that it offers mature
players.
End of an Era - Coral Vickers retires as
TSQ Secretary/h2>
posted January 19, 2018
Coral Vickers is the closest
thing to TSQ Royalty... she
has been Secretary of Tennis
Seniors Queensland for
around 18 years and on the
committee for over 30.
But Coral is
now stepping down from the role that she has played for so long. At the TSQ State dinner,
TSQ President Gail Bates and Q18 Chairman Reg Trevaskis paid tribute to Coral and the service she has given to TSQ over the years.
The large crowd in attendance gave Coral the standing ovation that she so richly deserved.
